… on my Amazon.com wish-list:
The Incident, by Porcupine Tree (a kickass progressive rock band; think of them as a Pink Floyd for the 21st century) (oh, and the first song is titled “Occam’s Razor,” so that makes this post totally on-topic)
The Age of American Unreason, by Susan Jacoby (which I’ve posted about before, here)
Ultimate Beer, by Michael Jackson (not that Michael Jackson)
The Road to Reality: A Complete Guide to the Laws of the Universe, by Roger Penrose

Glad to see another Genesis fan. One of my favorite bands, but only the earlier pre-pop stuff. By the way, Steve Hackett just put out a solo album, Out of the Tunnel’s Mouth, available from his web site.
Also I’ve read everything Dan Simmons has written. What does this mean? (an INTJ sci-fi/horror author, w00t!)

INTJ is one of the 16 personality types under the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and is also my type. “w00t!” is an interjection used to exclaim joy, which I’m given to understand all the cool kids are saying these days.

Sigh, I’m just not hip any more if indeed I ever was.
What’s that Grandpa Simpson said: I used to be with it, but then they changed what “it” was. Now, what I’m with isn’t it, and what’s “it” seems weird and scary to me.
So how do you know what Dan Simmons’ personality type is?

I read it somewhere. Maybe on the INTJ Forum, intjforum.com.

I used to hang out on the INTJ forums! I think after a while I was able to shift the “I” more to and “E” and get outside and socialize a bit more, haven’t been on those forums in a while but I am loving your blog!
