- Best sports movie: Hoosiers. End of discussion.
- Best romantic comedy: Groundhog Day.
- Best movie that just randomly popped into my head: Highlander.
Oh, and there can be only one. Highlander, that is. Highlander #2 and beyond never happened. Do you hear me? They NEVER. HAPPENED.
- Best Rush song with heavy use of synthesizers: Subdivisions.
- Best prog rock song featuring piano: Genesis, Firth of Fifth. (And the moody guitar solo beginning at 5:48 is Made. Of. Awesome.)
- Best Rush instrumental: a tie, between La Villa Strangiato and YYZ.
- Best Robert A. Heinlein novel: The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress.
- Best Robert A. Heinlein short story: By His Bootstraps.
- Best baseball team of all time: the 1975/76 Cincinnati Reds. No further debate is required on this point because I am right.
